INNOCENCE

The feelings I had tried to hide are now screaming out from deep inside
Shouting an infinite vow to the sky

I've wandered all my life in darkness,
drowning me within the greatest abyss
Light left me feeling cold and helpless
Glaring down, beating me into the ground

But now the moon invites me into the light
I'm thinking fast, but hesitate to reply
Although my heart is telling me to give it a try

The feelings I had tried to hide are now screaming out from deep inside
Shouting an infinite vow to the sky

My strength has brought me far, but I know that I'll need a little bit more
To help me reach the deepest bluest skies, passing over my eyes

And when the moon invites me once again, I'll finally reach for its hand

*

My voice is calling out and my heart's racing fast
Not even one chance to rest
I'm searching for a sign to lead me
to the dream you told me that I should seek

Today the clouds will part show me the light
The pain of yesterday is far from my mind
And now my hopes are flying high into the sky

Our world is full of mysteries, they're hiding there for me to see,
glimmering, beckoning me to be free
As long as I believe within the strength I carry in my heart
I'll be able to reach out for the limitless blue sky

*

There's nothing left to lose, why should I worry?
Your sweet smile of innocence blinds me
Now I won't lose sight of my goals; just take my hand!

This dark and endless episode will end, soon I'll surely see you again.
Swearing an oath, I can promise you this;
My memories of you will gather and burn away the pain of past
And then our empty hearts will fill up with love, and finally make it last..

The feelings I had tried to hide are now screaming out from deep inside
Shouting an infinite vow to the sky
My strength has brought me far, but I know that I'll need a little bit more
To help me reach the deepest, bluest skies passing over my eyes

And when the moon invites me once again, I'll finally reach for its hand
